Manual manipulation of the spine and other joints in the body has been mentioned since 1500 BC in Chinese and Greek writing. In fact, Hippocrates, the iconic Greek physician, published a text detailing the importance of manual manipulation and the role of the spine in diagnosing and treating illness.

The official beginning of the modern chiropractic professional dates back to 1895 with the Canadian D.D. Palmer. Throughout the twentieth century, the profession has gained considerable reconigntion of scientific support. Magna Study, Rand Corporation and others have all demonstrated the incredible value of chiropractic care.

Safety

In the words of New Zealand government study, “chiropractic is remarkably safe”. Adverse reactions from chiropractic treatment are rare; Dr. Tabrizi, the institute's chiropractor, will discuss potential side effects along with the benefits of care that you will receive.
