Nutrition for an Awesome New Year: Easy Raw Oatmeal
New year, new you! The beginning of a new year is a great time to reconfirm your health and wellness goals. We here at IHI have teamed up with some of our friends to bring you fun, easy and delicious recipes to help keep you on the right track all winter long!
Easy Raw Oatmeal via Meghan Pearson, Raw Food teacher at Hacienda Del Sol and created by the chefs at Hacienda Del Sol
If you want to feel vibrant you must hydrate your cells and infuse them living enzymes. Start your morning with a class of lemon water, then drink a glass of Hacienda del Sol’s Green Detox. Depending on your detox level enjoy this fibre packed satisfying oatmeal! The coconut water offers electrolytes, and the oatmeal is energizing and gentle on your body first thing in the morning.

Serves 1
½ cup organic oats
½ cup coconut water
¼ cup raisins
1 apple grated
1 banana mashed
1 tsp coconut flakes (topping)
pinch of sea salt
1 cup of your favorite fruits for topping
Soak the oats, and raisins in the coconut water for 30 minutes (or overnights). Add the grated apple, mashed banana, coconut flakes, and sea salt.
