“The food we eat, the processes of our bodies, the air we breathe and the water we drink become the building blocks for a soul unfolding” Rosemary Glastar
Nourishing the mother throughout pregnancy, and the postpartum period is important – you’re your body, mind and spirit. These delicious green drinks are full of nutrients for you and your growing baby. A wonderful addition to anyone’s diet to drink up this spring, hydrating, full of vital nutrients and yes, tasty!!
Easy to make, any blender will do, I have been using a hand-me down blender bought at a garage sale. It does not have to be expensive to be healthy, and feel good.
GREEN fruit smoothie recipe:
1 frozen banana
1 cup of blueberries or strawberries
2 handfuls of spinach
Juice of one lime (optional)
2 cups of water or coconut water
Blend and enjoy! If there is extra, it can be stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator for 24-48hrs, although I suggest drinking it up.
BLUE-GREEN power smoothie:
2 Tablespoons of hemp protein powder
1 Tablespoon of maca root powder
3 Tablespoons of spirulina or other blue-green algae
2 bananas (ripe or frozen)
3 cups of water
Blend and enjoy!
